Torchwood season 4: new title, writers, and more – Den of Geek

(DEN OF GEEK) — In the build-up to the long-awaited well, it feels like it fourth season of Torchwood going into production this coming January, Russell T Davies has been talking to US reporters about what we can expect from the show. We already know that Davies has planned to take the show into much darker territory, following the lead set by Torchwood: Children Of Earth, and he’s expanded a little on that in his latest natter.

Firstly, the show is going to be called Torchwood: The New World this time around, and it’s going to be a self-contained season of 10 episodes. Thus, while it’ll be respecting the canon of Torchwood, once more, this is going to be a season dedicated to telling one big story.

(MAIL ONLINE) — Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to shocking and judging by stills and posters recently released for her next movie the troubled starlet intends to keep fanning the flames of controversy.

A new poster for Machete, directed by Robert Rodriguez, shows Lohan posing as a nun, in full habit, licking the barrel of a gun.

Documentary: Is DMT opening mind portals?

The following is an excerpt from the upcoming documentary, DMT: the God Molecule (due 2010). From what we can see, the film’s message leans toward a new age approach, rooted in the oldest lie in the universe: ‘Ye shall be as gods’. We’ll see.

The documentary is certainly based upon Rick Strassman’s book of the same name. We’ve ordered the book for a future review.

If you have never heard of DMT, the video below is eye-opening, and it certainly will (and should) disturb you. Interviewees in the documentary speak of seeing ‘alien’ entities after using DMT; of an ‘intelligence’ or ‘consciousness’ called ‘the creator’ encountered in DMT trips. This ‘creator’ is described as someone you would not wish to meet. The ‘trip’ supposedly leaves you wish a ‘spark of consciousness’ that is beyond current human understanding.

(HOLLYWOOD INSIDER) — Almost one month after Guillermo del Toro dropped out of directing The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson is in talks to helm the two films in the franchise. While we wait for the studios involved or Jackson’s manager to confirm, there are lots of questions that remain before The Hobbit can actually begin production, let alone reach the big screen.
